Students use creative writing exercises to develop interesting characters and meaningful stories. Using metaphorical characters, young writers will expand their Theatre IQ by doing deep dives into objectives, obstacles, and tactics. Each writer will then develop their ideas into their own two-character, 10-minute play. The class will culminate in a reading of all the plays by adult actors!

It isn’t about song selection.  It isn’t about your slate.  It isn’t about your attitude. It isn’t about your resume. It isn’t about you hitting the right notes at the right tempo.  It isn’t about how you treat the accompanist.  It isn’t about how you treat the room monitor or the people you are auditioning for.  In this class we will explore all of this and how they come together for your best audition!
