Tracy is a musical theater performer, activist, teacher and mother to a Black son. She has performed all over the Bay Area including TheatreWorks, San Francisco Opera, AlterTheater and Ray of Light Theatre. Out of town performances include Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria, CA and as Bess in Porgy and Bess in Aurora, Colorado. Tracy serves on the Brain Trust of Those Women Productions, is a member of the Coalition of Black Women Professional Theatre Makers in the Bay Area, and is the casting consultant for Owls Nest Theatre Company.

Tracy double majored in math and Russian at Howard University and got her master’s in math from CSUEB. Majoring in Russian was inspired by a month-long exchange program to Russia at age 14. Her family spent her junior year in Mexico, where she learned Spanish. Tracy is a recipient of the Equity Award from Stanford University and the Arts Enabler Award from Arts for a Better Bay Area (both for her work on representation in theater) and a Theater Bay Area Titan Award. CASTING CALL—Fun Home
AEA and Non-Union

42nd Street Moon invites you to audition for our 2022 production of Fun Home, directed by Tracy Ward and music direction by Dave Dobrusky!

Audition deadline is October 26, 2021. In-person callbacks will be November 8 starting at 5 pm.

Relevant Dates:
Rehearsals at Moon start January 11
Show runs Feb 5 thought Feb 20 15 total performances)

Compensation:
Pay for AEA artists will be at minimum a BAT Tier 4 contract, $689.00/week for five weeks.
Non-union pay is $1,200.00 for the project.

Attached Artists:
There are no offers or contracts out at this time.
All roles are open. We want this cast to reflect the diversity of the community in which we create, and for our actors to be able to tell these characters’ stories with honesty and authenticity.

You will also be asked to confirm your COVID-19 vaccination status.

Audition Process:
Please complete the 42nd Street Moon Performer Database form (airtable.com/shraFVs6SjsZIAZqd - skip if submitted previously), complete the 2022 Fun Home audition form (airtable.com/shrgGheeAVVlt8u9A - write “2022 Fun Home” under “Show”) and submit a self-taped video of two contrasting 1 minute songs and a 1 minute monologue via shared file or video hosting site (Drive, Dropbox, YouTube, Vimeo, etc) with casting@42ndstmoon.org.

Callbacks will include sides and songs from the show.

So tempting!! One of my favorite shows. I sat in the audience, weeping, stunned after seeing it in NY (not long after my father passed...)

I’m sorry, I posted this somewhere else but, how is paying a stipend for actors working alongside salaried performers compliant with AB5? Please explain. Also, if one is a volunteer you need to reimburse for actual expenses. Didn’t 42nd street moon pay non AEA minimum wage? This must be an error. Yes?
