JoAna, Moon’s Cabaret Coordinator, has attended shows at Moon since “the script-in-hand” days and ushered since 2006. A native Northern Californian, she moved to San Francisco from Santa Cruz after completing her MBA at Santa Clara University. A self-proclaimed theater geek, she started studying singing in 2001 and now can’t imagine life without it.

Her most recent cabaret show was Defying Expectations, Defining Dreams, at The Duplex, NY and Martuni's, SF, directed by Tony Award winner Faith Prince/MD Christopher Denny. Other shows include her SF solo debut, Shades of JoAna Gray with MD Barry Lloyd at Society Cabaret, where she has participated in several shows. She has appeared in the musicals Anything Goes and The Pied Piper of Hamelin Town in Marin and multiple plays at the Fringe of Marin One Act Festival and Ross Valley Player's RAW Festival. JoAna has performed locally at Savannah Jazz, Octavia Lounge, The Marsh and Oasis.

Samantha was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area and says she was always a performer at heart – a weird combination of a shy and spotlight-loving kid. She was a dancer and played volleyball competitively until she was cast in the USC theatre school’s production of On the Town. She returned to the Bay Area after graduation and, in 2019, moved to New York City to pursue her Broadway dreams.

She is now bicoastal and is playing Anne in Moon’s upcoming production of A Little Night Music.
Favorite roles include Nanette in No, No Nanette at Moon, Peggy Sawyer in 42nd Street at Bay Area Musicals, Millie in Thoroughly Modern Millie at CCMT, Maria in West Side Story at Broadway by the Bay, Mallory/Avril in City of Angels at SF Playhouse, Ariel in The Little Mermaid at CMTSJ, and more.

Tracy is a musical theater performer, activist, teacher and mother to a Black son. She has performed all over the Bay Area including TheatreWorks, San Francisco Opera, AlterTheater and Ray of Light Theatre. Out of town performances include Pacific Conservatory Theatre in Santa Maria, CA and as Bess in Porgy and Bess in Aurora, Colorado. Tracy serves on the Brain Trust of Those Women Productions, is a member of the Coalition of Black Women Professional Theatre Makers in the Bay Area, and is the casting consultant for Owls Nest Theatre Company.

Tracy double majored in math and Russian at Howard University and got her master’s in math from CSUEB. Majoring in Russian was inspired by a month-long exchange program to Russia at age 14. Her family spent her junior year in Mexico, where she learned Spanish. Tracy is a recipient of the Equity Award from Stanford University and the Arts Enabler Award from Arts for a Better Bay Area (both for her work on representation in theater) and a Theater Bay Area Titan Award.
